I am so thankful how the Lord brought me across Esther Fleece. I am in a season of lamenting, during my grief journey after loosing my mother. Although I did not even recognise or know that I was. I have never understood much about lamenting so I am very encouraged to read this book. I came across it by looking for a you tube clip of the "Fixer Upper" show couple Chip and Jo Gaines. After watching their show Jeremy told me they were a christian couple so I was keen to look up their testimony online. It is so great how God still reaches out to me even while watching TV. His faithfulness truly melts my heart. I was not only encouraged by Jo Gaines' testimony as she like me was insecure as a child and felt like a misfit. I also found myself praying for the discipline she had to follow Gods call on her life with all her heart. I prayed that I would hear Gods voice on how clearly He wanted to use my story for His glory, as He was did for her. I had been asking for prayer at church to rediscover God's purpose for my life after the death of my mother as the season of caring for her has now ended. After all God is no respecter of persons right. Since then I am back to waking up early and spending time with God and blogging. I am a blogger torpedo, managing all of my 4 blogs today and typing my heart out in each of them.
After watching the Fixer Upper couples and enjoying both of their testimonies, God in His goodness went on to further show me other testimonies on a series of you tube clips called White Chair films - I am second. This consists of people sharing their testimonies. When I came across Esther Fleece I knew in my heart, before I even watched her that she was going to be authentic. I knew right away, the Lord was leading me to watch her. Well her testimony is incredible and I was so inspired to quit numbing my pain with sugar and TV and really seek the Lord in my pain. He is with me. I am really keen to read her book called "No More Faking Fine". I have personally and greatly struggled "faking fine" as far back as I can remember.
Here is an interview with Esther Fleece explaining her book some more. I highly recommend it. I have purchased an e-book copy for only $2 I might add, and it is great reading so far. She is so real and down to Earth. So refreshingly honest and open with her whole heart.
